Today I am making my favorite banana cake with chocolate chips and walnut toppings, again!
Well, there were times that it turned out good, or moist but sometimes, it turned out not as what I expected. hehe.
I thought it would be great to share the recipe here.
What you need:
A.
1. 3-4 ripe bananas - mashed.
2. 3 eggs
3. 1 tsp Vanilla essence
4. 1/2 cup of melted butter
5. 1 cup of packed brown sugar
6. 1/2 cup of white castor sugar
7. 1 tsp of honey (optional)
B.
1. 1 1/2 cup of white flour
2. 1 tsp of salt
3. 1 tsp of baking powder
4. 1 tsp of baking soda
5. 1 cup of chocolate chips
6. 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
Getting started
- In a bowl, mash the bananas well. I prefer to use over ripped bananas as they contain more natural sweetness.
- Pour the melted butter, eggs, and all ingredients in A into the bowl and mix well.
- Once everything is fluffy and creamy, add in all ingredients in B, into the bowl and start gently mix together using the folding technic. Now this is my favourite part, adding in the chocolate chips and walnuts!
- Next pour the mixture into a buttered cake pan and pop it into the oven (heated at 177 celsius or 350 F, for 30-40 minutes.
- Once done, poke the cake with a lid and if it comes out clean, you'll know it's ready!
Yumms!
